Quirky Tech Talk: The "Family Favorites" Edition

Are you ready for your weekly dose of Nerdology? Let's go.

As someone who is emersed in the world of social media and technology, I sometimes forget just how much knowledge I've acquired compared to those who don't have online jobs. Household names to me are still not being recognized on a popular scale.

Therefore, every week I will be putting together features of some quirky creatives and techies that I think are killing the game, as well as some innovative businesses that you should definitely pay attention to. Be prepared to level up your life and expand your knowledge of all of the cool, slightly nerdy things going on online. Class is now in session!

Creators That We Can't Get Enough Of
Regina Anaejionu of ByRegina.com
Regina is literally every online blogger and creatives imaginary home girl. A self-proclaimed ninja, her advice is stellar, her reputation is unmatched and she goes above and beyond to deliver on her staple learning products.

About Regina: I am a sidekick to infopreneurs (freelancers, coaches, teachers). Anyone who wants to profit from their knowledge + passions in a purposeful and authentic way. My belief is that you are legendary, so I create articles, videos, workbooks, and classes that help you reveal your true creative epicness and develop your own meaningful products and services.
Random facts about Regina: I went to school and studied business at some point, have published a few things for Entrepreneur.com, Houston Chronicle Small Business, and USAToday.com, and I’m a former competitive skater (I think I won nationals when I was maybe 11, sooo don’t write home to your mom about it just yet).

Everette Taylor of Skurt.com
Everette Taylor is an American entrepreneur, marketer, and public speaker. He currently serves as the Chief Marketing Officer of Skurt - the on-demand car mobility company. While growing up, Taylor showed strong entrepreneurial acumen by finding creative ways to make money in grade school and took his first marketing job at the age of 14.

About Everette: At the age of 19 Taylor started his first company and successfully sold the company 3 years later. After college, Taylor led marketing at the software company Qualaroo - a behavioral insight survey software on both the web and mobile which was acquired by Xenon Ventures. Since then, he has helped lead several businesses including GrowthHackers and MilliSense.
Taylor’s interests span far beyond business. He is a supporter of diversity and gender equality initiatives such as CODE2040, Wonder Women Tech, and Black Girls Code. He started his own scholarship fund to help struggling minority college students pay for tuition and books. He has also been a major supporter of the March of Dimes Foundation helping premature babies, raising thousands of dollars for the organization since 2011.
Innovative Business Love
I recently came across the brand Airfordable and automatically thought, 'why has it taken so long for this to be a thing?' The micro loan tool helps you take your wanderlust dreams off hold and make traveling a reality. The layaway-like payment plans help you break down your airfare into manageable payments, allowing you to see the world without delay.

Founder, Ama Marfo, describes Airfordable as a financial and travel technology company that allows anyone to book a flight for only a fraction of the cost upfront and the rest in recurring payments.

"We're democratizing travel for everyone."

Aurelius With The Links
By now, many of you are becoming familiar with my photographer, Joshua Aurelius Galloway of Aurelius Creates (by the way, he just launched an awesome blog called The Creative Gentleman).

Joshua is not only a photographer, but also a brand identity graphic designer and the co-owner of a wooden bow-tie e-commerce shop, Neck of The Woods.

Therefore, I decided to bring on this fellow creative entrepreneur to help you stay in the know of what is going on in the world of technology, photography and graphic design.
