How To Host A Kickback With All Black-Owned Products

It doesn't matter what time of year it is, there is always time for a kickback.

When I was in college, I definitely preferred being invited to house parties and kickbacks over going out and spending my money on drinks at loud clubs. There is something so fun and relaxing about coming together with cool people over card games, good music and definitely good drinks.

As an effort to show my readers how to incorporate Black-owned businesses into everyday life, I will be breaking down everyday events and occurrence that can incorporate our favorite black owned party suppliers. First on the list is the oh-so-famous kickback.  Let's get this party started!

The Invitations
I know that there are plenty of black-owned stationary and card companies, but for a fun kickback, I would prefer to receive a card from Ally Elle Cards. Yaaaaassssss.

The Entertainment
Wondering how you will keep your guests entertained beyond your awesome playlist of local black artists? Skip the spades and go for everyone's new favorite card game, Black Card Revoked!

The Food
Since it's a kickback, why not have the best drunk food, hot dogs/smoked sausage. The Maroon Sausage company has you covered on the meat (sausage was sold on the website, but you may need to email them now). You can also find a local Black farmer (also Sow Much Good in Charlotte, NC) to buy some ingredients for a salad and top if off with some gluten-free croutons from Eden's Bread Company.

The After Party
Planning for a wild night that might have some overnight guests? Why not treat them to the best hangover food: pancakes!

Now that you have the inspiration, I just ask one thing of you: don't leave me off of the invitation list for the next kickback! I could use a drink.
